Dragon Principles of Attacking Humans
Many people believe that dragons will always attack or eat humans, and this could not be further from the truth.
If a dragon spots a human, usually it will do any one of the following:
- Disappear
- Change Shape
- Do nothing in particular
Dragons are not interested in interacting with humans, unless the human is interested in interacting with the dragon in a benign manner, and can prove him or herself worthy of the dragon's attention. But for foolish or meddlesome humans, dragons simply do not have time, and do not care to make themselves known. However, as a general rule, a dragon will never kill a human on the spot. Dragons will only attack out of self-defense or out of protection of their dragon kin. Because the creature is usually well-hidden and good at making itself scarce, a dragon usually does not have to worry about this.
Exceptions to the rule
As mentioned above, dragons will usually refrain from attacking people in principle, as most people are too stupid to spot them anyway. Although there are some exceptions, some of which are the following:
- 1. Knights. The last knight who tried to slay a dragon was Sir Alazon Rexford III. He died as a result of it, the cause of death being fire. But before he died, he dealt one final blow do the dragon, slaying it. From that moment on, dragons have been particularly cautious around knights, and will sometimes attack them preemptively. The following are examples of knights that a dragon may attack on the spot.
- Sir Elton John. Although seemingly gentle, and a brilliant musical talent, dragons still regard him with suspicion. Dragons believe that the glasses he wears allows him to see through their invisibility and shape-changing powers.
- Sir Bill Gates. Supposedly after he was knighted, on March 2, 2005, all dragons began using Macintosh computers instead of PCs. All dragons became very upset when Macintosh was bought out by Microsoft.
- Sir Sean Connery. Sean Connery is an interesting case, as on the one hand, he is a knight, but on the other, he was the voice of a dragon in the movie, "Dragonheart." Also, he was famous for playing agent 007 in the James Bond movies, and there are 7 letters in the word "Dragons." Many dragons are torn as to whether to respect him or to maybe attack him on the spot.
- Wizards. In most cases, wizards try to befriend dragons so as to create allies. However, in the cases of evil wizards, they will attempt to summon dragons to do their bidding, and/or lure dragons into deadly traps, so that they can remove their bones. If a dragon's bone is used in certain types of magic, it will allow the wizard to have mental control over other dragons, and this is one of the few things that dragons fear. So, as a precautionary measure, dragons will often test the integrity of a wizard by feigning a situation in which they are in danger. If a wizard tries to rescue the dragon, then the dragon will most likely befriend the wizard, but if the wizard tries to take advantage of the situation, the dragon will most likely kill the wizard. If a wizard is skilled, the dragon will engage him or her in magical battle until one of them is dead.
- Leprechauns. Although it would not be clear to common sense, leprechauns are the biggest nuisance to dragons by far, and for the following reasons:
- They can appear and disappear at will, and will steal treasure from a dragon to add to their pot of gold.
- They are small and are fast runners that are hard to catch.
- They know magic and will use it in annoying ways.
- Often they reveal the location of dragons to humans.
Leprechauns are actually the primary cause of dragon-related human deaths. When a dragon spots a leprechaun, the dragon will immediately go into seek-and-destroy mode, and will burn down buildings, destroy houses, or do whatever it takes to see that the little menace is destroyed. Sometimes this involves a number of human casualties - often of those who were simply innocent bystanders. This is where dragons received their reputation for being a menace to humans.
Conclusion: In actuality, dragon fury usually has nothing to do with humans at all, but leprechauns, who are infamous for invoking the wrath of dragons.
